Last of the snow?

I've enjoyed finally having a bit of snow around. However, I find it so frustrating that a couple of inches seems to bring things grinding to a halt around here. We've had nothing compared with many, yet many of the local schools have been closed and roads have become ice rinks. I've a friend who lives on Saddleworth Moor- now they have had real snow with up to six-foot drifts. I'm not really wanting to be completely snowed in, but I just wish people round here would keep things in perspective. It has been very cold though...-10C when you leave for work isn't funny.
